(Talk about having too much time on my hands! I, John, took some well known chef puns, and made up a story to link them. It was fun, and is sprinkled with many puns. See how many you can find!)

An old Italian chef passed away, and his wife Rosemary delivered this eulogy.

I met Giuseppe many years ago. We met in cooking class, and it was a classic case of boil meets grill.
Everyone knew he was smart and that he was no in Basil.

His first job was as a baker. He started out by making donuts, but he soon tired of the hole thing.  Giuseppe didn't like to give his secrets away, and only did so on a knead to know basis. Some said he was a bit odd, for he always put too much flour in his bread and people would say he was a gluten for punishment. Giuseppe could be a picky baker. When making biscuits for his pet dog, he always insisted on using collie flour. Eventually, he had to quit his job because they cut his celery.

Then he became a true chef, and he was so very happy. Not many realized he was an epileptic, and his specialty was seizure salad. You never sausage skills as he had. He only needed some cheese and he could make grate things. His peers said he loved making newlywed salad: lettuce alone.

At work, most people would say, have you met the Chef yet? He's a knife guy. However, those working under him would sometimes say that  Giuseppe was really annoying, and that he could really make a pesto himself. He certainly was opinionated, and one time his boss said to offer German sausage without the bread bun. He said it was just the wurst.

You may not believe it, but Giuseppe had a grate sense of humor. He once told my parents that he would make a vehicle out of spaghetti! You should have seen their faces as he drove pasta them! My dad was boiling with anger. My Ma's attitude was roasted, and cheese not over it yet...

As you all know, Giuseppe passed away after falling in the kitchen and breaking his prime rib. He went quickly and the doctor said he didn't souffle too much. Please don't feel sad about all this, for even he used to say “here today, gone tomato”. My dear husband lived a Gouda life, and he's in a cheddar place now.

He would be pleased to know that there wasn't mushroom at his funeral, and he asked me to send olive my prayers to his family.

Born, I think you have one of your metaphors wrong.  I can't imagine sprinkles on a bun doughnut you know?   I think this story is hot crossed with puns more than sprinkled!

Very clever and fun laugh!  Almost as fun as Guerillaz banning himself tonight.   Very Happy
